Caribbean Pool: in Spain
A rim-edge
Caribbean pool with circular swim-up bar and palapa top
- not in the Caribbean, it's in Spain!
"I just gotta get me one
of these!"...
after a Mojito or three, we all want
to bring some of a Caribbean vacation home with us. Small
mementoes are simple; larger ones a bit more problematic, big vacation
ideas are even better!
How
about the swimming pool?
The top-end Caribbean pool... not the kind you expect
to see in Europe.
You know, rim-edge, swim-up to the pool bar with neat pointed
beach umbrella
top,
sit on sunken seats, looks a million bucks. No, because you
can't
fit it
in your luggage for the flight home;
too big, and way too expensive. Resign yourself to
just visiting
it.
Or
maybe not: try something radical. Turn that wild
idea into reality: build it yourself. So we did.
Perhaps we
have the only Caribbean style pool in Europe*.
And
you can enjoy
it here. The preserve of Caribbean 5-star hotels is
now
available at Perleta
Magic, right now.
*that the
owner built himself

The pool is
a full rim-edge design. It is
designed for adults *and*
children.
Children:
can easily negotiate the shallow end which is a
constant depth up until the base of the palm tree motif, where it
slopes down to a deeper level.
Adults:
after a leisurely entry via the Roman steps into the shallow
end, can wade over to the pool bar via a ramp, and take residence on
one of three inset seats.
Or, retrieve
their drink and wade back to the
seat in the far corner of the shallow end.

Split-level
circular pool bar with integral
Cuban-style 'palapa' top.
Great for
relaxing with a Mojito or two, listening to great Latino
grooves...
A Caribbean pool is supposed to have latino music, no?

Looking
back towards the shallow end from
the opposite side of the pool
bar... from one of two individual palapa shades around the
pool. |
Land-facing
side of the pool bar, with
custom azulejo inlaid mosaic on the benchtop.
And a
stylised palm mosaic on the front wall.

Photo taken
from the far end of the pool;
mature gardens/plants and trees that accentuate the unique environment:
ficus, date
palm, olive, bougainvillea, aloe vera...
Caribbean pools should also have coconut palms around but we're a bit short of them.. date palms yes. |
